Not so long ago, one never talked openly or seriously about the paranormal in fear of being labeled a weirdo. As a member of a paranormal research team, Iris has helped investigate homes and businesses for potential hauntings, which helped her process her own ghostly encounters from childhood. The intention of this book is to share anecdotal evidence and firsthand knowledge in a way that helps others become empowered in addressing their own crises, as Iris’ eccentric compilation of interests and experiences has led her to see the demand for practical, down-to--earth insights on the paranormal.

These unusual accounts of living and coping with ghosts and similar entities, take the reader into her private cache of real-life memories. Thus, you witness the genesis of her learned epiphanies of WHY you do, or not do, certain things when in the initially unnerving experience of spectral visitors in one’s own home. But soothingly too, her vivid storytelling remains charming, warm, reassuring, and relatable, just like Iris herself.

Music Video

After writing the lyrics for Jilted Bride, I was fortunate to recruit David Cortello to compose the tune. Glad Douse brought the song to life with her powerful voice. My next goal was to recruit filmmaking friends to create the video. Julie Whitis Church brought in actors Jeremiah Wood and Jessica Barrett along with Bobby Pimentel as director. This was a fun project that brought a dream to reality thanks to the help of a great community of friends.

Iris found her love of writing and creativity at an early age. At age 9 she wrote and produced a play for her fourth-grade class. She garnered attention for her writing through her school years, worked on the school paper, and even won an essay award. She later wrote, edited, and designed for newspapers and, more recently, for Array Magazine of Fayetteville. A couple of her short film scripts were produced by a local group of filmmakers, and she has created a series of spiritual videos as well as grammar videos.
